Are you facing a challenge and needing Hope or a Miracle ? There’s a story in 2 Kings 4:8-17 that is an inspirational read for you today.
This story is about the Shunammite woman, who lived during the days of Elisha the prophet. I dont know her name but her faith and the miracles she experienced were amazing.
What are you believing for?
These stories of miracles are for you today. Many of us are holding onto prayers we haven’t yet seen answered. Just as the Shunammite woman experienced God’s miraculous intervention, you can too.
There were three significant miracles she received:
The Miracle of a Child: Despite being unable to have a child, she had a son.
The Miracle of Resurrection: Her child tragically died, but he was brought back to life.
The Miracle of Restoration: After her land had been taken during a famine, everything (and more) was restored back to her.
Proverbs 13 verse 12-14 says “Hope deferred makes the heart sick.....”
The Shunammite woman experienced profound grief and loss; hope deferred in her life ; first, from her initial inability to have a child; second, from the death of her son; and third, from the loss of her land during the famine.
But despite these hardships, she seemed to be able to take her grief and position herself to trust in God with patience, perserverance and faith. Her story shows that by this holding onto faith and not giving up , it can lead to incredible miracles.
I dont know your name either , but Jesus knows you and He loves you and He is the God of all hope for you today and every day. Romans 15:13 says, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing.”
Lift your eyes to Jesus, the God of all hope, and never give up on His love.
Let Psalm 121 reminds you: "I lift up my eyes to the heavens, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth."
By lifting your eyes and putting your focus on Jesus and His Love for you, and by speaking His
name and power over every circumstance , even if you cant see any change or miracle at first, dont give up because He is working for you, just as he did for the Shunammite woman, and He will turn things around, and bring good into your life.
A Prayer :
"Jesus, we speak Your name over every circumstance in our lives, especially those we don’t understand. With you God, there is always hope, no matter how tough or fearful things look. Nothing is impossible with you God. Your power makes all things possible.
I thank You for my miracle."
With love,
Linda
